BNS Group has been a key vendor to Suncorp for SMS text messaging server technology since 2009.

In 2010, BNS won the Australian Information Industry Award for using SMS in flood-affected Queensland.

msXsms Enterprise SMS server technology provides a shared infrastructure SMS platform supporting all Suncorp businesses.

The SMS server platform is a virtual platform hosted on-premises using Windows Server in their own datacentre and AWS.   SQL Server databases control message flow, data storage, configuration data and message release controls.

Automatic failover and high availability of the SMS platform allows Suncorp to benefit for aggregated SMS traffic through a single gateway for all of their brands.

Automatic failover from a primary SMS Messaging Centre to a backup SMS messaging Centre is one of the key features of the BNS Group SMS software.

BNS Group has also been a key vendor to Suncorp for fax server technology since the early 90’s.  In 2017, BNS assisted Suncorp to virtualise its fax server platform across its production platforms both on-premises and AWS.  Sonus Session Border Controllers (SBC) provide the on-premises telephony connectivity with T.38 fax protocol between the SBC and virtualised msXfax servers.

Automatic failover and high availability of SBCs and Fax Servers provide a robust inbound and outbound fax service for all 18 brands of the Suncorp Group.

Suncorp Group brands include:  AAMI, GIO, Shannons, Suncorp bank and Suncorp insurance. A total of 14 brands are supported by the BNS SMS platform.
